स वरैश्छन्दितस्तेन नूपो वचनमत्रवीत् । सहस्रबाहुर्भूयां वै चमूमध्ये गृहेडन्यथा
sa varaiś chanditas tena nūpo vacanam abravīt | sahasrabāhur bhūyāṃ vai camūmadhye gṛhe ’nyathā ||
ភីស្មាបាននិយាយថា៖ ពេលឥសីនោះជំរុញឲ្យជ្រើសពរ ស្តេចបានទូលថា៖ «សូមឲ្យខ្ញុំក្លាយជាអ្នកមានដៃមួយពាន់នៅពេលសង្គ្រាម នៅកណ្ដាលកងទ័ព ប៉ុន្តែនៅផ្ទះសូមឲ្យខ្ញុំនៅដូចធម្មតា (មានតែពីរដៃ)។ សូមឲ្យទ័ពទាំងអស់លើសមរភូមិឃើញដៃមួយពាន់របស់ខ្ញុំ»។
