इति श्रीमहाभारते अनुशासनपर्वणि दानधर्मपर्वणि ब्राह्मणप्रशंशायामेकपञ्चाशदधिकशततमो< ध्याय:
iti śrīmahābhārate anuśāsanaparvaṇi dānadharmaparvaṇi brāhmaṇapraśaṃsāyām ekapañcāśad-adhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ |
ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «ដូច្នេះ ក្នុង “ស្រីមហាភារត” នៅក្នុង អនុសាសនបវ៌ៈ ក្នុងផ្នែកធម៌នៃការបរិច្ចាគ (ទានធម៌) ជំពូកស្តីពីការសរសើរព្រាហ្មណ៍ ដែលជាជំពូកទីមួយរយហាសិបមួយ បានបញ្ចប់ហើយ»។ កថាបញ្ចប់នេះបង្ហាញថា ព្រះបន្ទូលនេះជាផ្នែកមួយនៃវិន័យសីលធម៌ធំទូលាយ៖ ការធ្វើទានដឹកនាំដោយធម៌ និងការគោរពចំពោះអ្នកដែលទទួលបន្ទុកចំណេះដឹង និងពិធីបូជាធម៌។
