Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)
एष तस्यानवद्यस्य नारदस्य महात्मन: । संदेशो देवपूजार्थ तं तथा कुरु पाण्डव,पाण्डुनन्दन! उन अनिन्द्य महात्मा देवर्षि नारदजीका ही यह संदेश है कि महादेवजीकी पूजा करनी चाहिये। इसलिये तुम भी ऐसा ही करो
eṣa tasyānavadyasya nāradasya mahātmanaḥ | saṃdeśo devapūjārtha taṃ tathā kuru pāṇḍava, pāṇḍunandana ||
ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «នេះជាសាររបស់ទេវឥសី នារទៈ មហាត្មា អ្នកគ្មានទោស ដែលបានផ្ញើមកសម្រាប់ការបូជាព្រះ។ ដូច្នេះ ឱ បណ្ឌវៈ—ឱ កូនបណ្ឌុ—ចូរធ្វើដូច្នោះឲ្យបានត្រឹមត្រូវ»។
