Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)
सुदुस्तरार्थतत्त्वस्य वक्ता कर्ता च माधव: । तव पार्थ जय: कृत्स्नस्तव कीर्तिस्तथातुला
sudustarārthatattvasya vaktā kartā ca mādhavaḥ | tava pārtha jayaḥ kṛtsnas tava kīrtis tathātulā ||
ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «មាធវៈជាអ្នកបង្ហាញ និងជាអ្នកសម្រេចនូវសច្ចធម៌ដ៏ជ្រាលជ្រៅ ដែលពិបាកឆ្លងកាត់ន័យរបស់វា។ ឱ បារថៈ! ជ័យជម្នះទាំងស្រុង និងកិត្តិយសអស្ចារ្យរបស់អ្នក បានមកដល់អ្នក ដោយការពឹងផ្អែកលើព្រះអង្គ។ ព្រោះការខិតខំរបស់មនុស្ស នឹងឲ្យផលខ្ពស់បំផុត នៅពេលយកព្រះនារាយណៈ—អ្នកការពារដ៏មិនអាចគិតគូរ និងគោលដៅដ៏លើសលប់—ជាទីជ្រកកោន»។
