प्रियो मे5यं प्रियोडस्पाहमिति सम्प्रेक्ष्य बुद्धिमान् वयस्यायैवमक्लिष्टं दानं दद्यादतन्द्रित:
priyo me ’yaṃ priyo ’smy aham iti samprekṣya buddhimān vayasyāyaivam akliṣṭaṃ dānaṃ dadyād atandritaḥ
ភីស្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «ដោយគិតថា ‘មនុស្សនេះជាទីស្រឡាញ់របស់ខ្ញុំ ហើយខ្ញុំក៏ជាទីស្រឡាញ់របស់គេ’ បុរសប្រាជ្ញាគួរលះបង់ភាពខ្ជិល ហើយឲ្យទានដល់មិត្តដោយចិត្តរីករាយ មិនមានការលំបាកក្នុងចិត្ត។ នេះជាទានដែលកើតពីសេចក្តីស្រឡាញ់ និងបំណងចង់បំពេញចិត្ត»។
