Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
अर्द्धमानाश्च विबुधा ग्रहेण सुबलीयसा । शिवदत्तवरान् जष्नुरसुरेन्द्रान सुरा भूशम्
arddhamānāś ca vibudhā graheṇa subalīyasā | śivadattavarān jaṣṇur asurendrān surā bhūśam ||
វាសុទេវបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «ពេលក្រាហាដ៏ខ្លាំងពេកនោះចាប់ផ្តើមរំខានទេវតា ទេវតាទាំងឡាយ—ទោះត្រូវបង្ខិតបង្ខំ—ក៏បានវាយតប និងផ្តួលបោកអសុរេន្រ្ត ដែលបានទទួលពរពីព្រះសិវៈ។ ដូច្នេះ សង្គ្រាមយូរអង្វែងបានបន្តរវាងពួកគេ បង្ហាញថា អំណាចដែលមានការការពារព្រះពរ បើប្រើសម្រាប់ការគាបសង្កត់ នឹងជួបការតស៊ូ និងជម្លោះមិនចប់»។
