Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
चारुदेष्ण: सुचारुश्ष चारुवेशो यशोधर: । चारुश्रवाश्लारुयशा: प्रद्युम्न: शम्भुरेव च
Cārudeṣṇaḥ sucāruś ca cāruveśo yaśodharaḥ | Cāruśravāś cāruyaśāḥ pradyumnaḥ śambhur eva ca ||
វាសុទេវៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «ឱ មធុសូទន! ចារុទេស្ណ, សុចារុ, ចារុវេស, យសោធរ, ចារុស្រវា, ចារុយសា, ប្រទ្យុម្ន និង សម្ភុ—កូនប្រុសដ៏ថ្លៃថ្នូរ និងក្លាហានទាំងនេះ—ព្រះអង្គបានប្រទានឲ្យខ្ញុំតាមរយៈព្រះនាងរុក្មិណី។ ដូច្នេះដែរ សូមប្រទានកូនប្រុសឲ្យខ្ញុំផង»។
