Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
गौर: श्यामस्तथा कृष्ण: पाण्डुरो धूमलोहित: । विकृताक्षो विशालाक्षो दिग्वासा: सर्ववासक:
gauraḥ śyāmas tathā kṛṣṇaḥ pāṇḍuro dhūmalohitaḥ | vikṛtākṣo viśālākṣo digvāsāḥ sarvavāsakaḥ ||
វាសុទេវៈបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «ព្រះអង្គបង្ហាញខ្លួនជារូបរាងជាច្រើន—ពេលខ្លះស្បែកស; ពេលខ្លះសម្បុរស្រអែម; ពេលខ្លះខ្មៅ; ពេលខ្លះស; ពេលខ្លះពណ៌ដូចផ្សែង ឬក្រហមស្ពាន់។ ពេលខ្លះភ្នែកព្រះអង្គហាក់បីដូចប្លែកខុសធម្មតា; ពេលខ្លះវិញ តុបតែងដោយភ្នែកធំស្រស់ស្អាត។ ពេលខ្លះឃើញព្រះអង្គអាក្រាត; ពេលខ្លះវិញ តុបតែងដោយសម្លៀកបំពាក់គ្រប់ប្រភេទ»។
