अल्पो5पि तादृशो दायो भवत्युत महाफल: । तृषिताय च ते दत्त हृदयेनानसूयता
alpo 'pi tādṛśo dāyo bhavaty uta mahāphalaḥ | tṛṣitāya ca te dattaṃ hṛdayenān asūyatā ||
វ្យាសៈ បាននិយាយថា៖ «ទោះជាទានតិចតួចក៏ដោយ បើផ្តល់តាមវិធីដូច្នោះ វាក៏ក្លាយជាផលធំ។ អ្នកបានផ្តល់អាហារ និងទឹក ដល់ភ្ញៀវដែលស្រេកឃ្លាន ដោយចិត្តគ្មានការច嫉—ហេតុនេះ ទានតិចតួចនោះ បង្កើតបុណ្យធំមហាសាល។ ព្រះធម៌បង្រៀនថា ចិត្តខាងក្នុង—ការមិនច嫉 ក្តីសប្បុរស និងការគោរពធម៌—ធ្វើឲ្យផលវិបាកនៃការផ្តល់ ធំលើសបរិមាណវត្ថុដែលបានផ្តល់»។
