Adhyāya 122 — Śruta-vṛtta-yukta Brāhmaṇa and the Ethics of Dāna

कीट उवाच इदं तदतुलं स्थानमीप्सितं दशभिर्गुणै: । यदहं प्राप्य कीटत्वमागतो राजपुत्रताम्
kīṭa uvāca idaṃ tad atulaṃ sthānam īpsitaṃ daśabhir guṇaiḥ | yad ahaṃ prāpya kīṭatvam āgato rājaputratām ||
គីតបាននិយាយថា៖ «ព្រះអង្គម្ចាស់! ថ្ងៃនេះ ខ្ញុំបានទទួលទីតាំងដ៏អស្ចារ្យមិនអាចប្រៀបបាន ដែលខ្ញុំប្រាថ្នាចង់ឈានដល់ ទោះបីត្រូវរង់ចាំដល់ដប់ជីវិតក៏ដោយ។ ដោយព្រះគុណរបស់ព្រះអង្គ ទោះខ្ញុំដោយកំហុសរបស់ខ្លួនធ្លាក់ចុះទៅជាគីត ក៏ថ្ងៃនេះខ្ញុំបានឈានដល់ស្ថានភាពជារាជបុត្រ»។
