Dāna-Śreṣṭhatā: On the Superiority of Giving
Maitreya–Vyāsa Exemplum
भृत्यातिथिजनश्चवापि गृहे पर्यशितो मया । मात्सर्यात् स्वादुकामेन नृशंसेन बुभुक्षता
bhṛtyātithijanaś cāpi gṛhe paryaśito mayā | mātsaryāt svādukāmena nṛśaṃsena bubhukṣatā ||
ខ្ញុំបានបរិភោគឲ្យឆ្អែតនៅក្នុងផ្ទះ ទោះបីមានអ្នកបម្រើ ភ្ញៀវ និងអ្នកពឹងផ្អែកនៅទីនោះក៏ដោយ។ ដោយចិត្តច្រណែន ប្រាថ្នាតែរសជាតិ ហើយរឹងរាក់ទាក់ដោយភាពសាហាវ និងភាពឃ្លាន ខ្ញុំបរិភោគដោយមិនបានចិញ្ចឹមអ្នកដែលមកដល់ផ្ទះ និងអ្នកដែលពឹងផ្អែកលើខ្ញុំជាមុនសិន។
