Dāna-Śreṣṭhatā: On the Superiority of Giving
Maitreya–Vyāsa Exemplum
कीट उवाच सर्वत्र निरतो जीव इतश्नापि सुखं मम । चिन्तयामि महाप्राज्ञ तस्मादिच्छामि जीवितुम्
kīṭa uvāca sarvatra nirato jīva itaś cāpi sukhaṃ mama | cintayāmi mahāprājña tasmād icchāmi jīvitum ||
ដង្កូវបាននិយាយថា៖ «ឱ អ្នកប្រាជ្ញ! ជីវិតតែងរវល់គ្រប់ទីកន្លែង ហើយសូម្បីនៅទីនេះ ខ្ញុំក៏មានសុខរបស់ខ្ញុំផ្ទាល់។ ដោយគិតពិចារណាដូច្នេះ ឱ អ្នកមានប្រាជ្ញាខ្ពង់ខ្ពស់ ខ្ញុំចង់រស់បន្តទៅទៀត»។
