Dāna-Śreṣṭhatā: On the Superiority of Giving
Maitreya–Vyāsa Exemplum
दुःखं हि मृत्युर्थूतानां जीवितं च सुदुर्लभम् | अतो भीत: पलायामि गच्छेयं ना सुखं सुखात्
duḥkhaṁ hi mṛtyur bhūtānāṁ jīvitaṁ ca sudurlabham | ato bhītaḥ palāyāmi gaccheyaṁ nā sukhaṁ sukhāt |
សម្រាប់សត្វមានជីវិតទាំងឡាយ មរណភាពពិតជាបង្កទុក្ខវេទនាខ្លាំង ហើយជីវិតក៏រកបានយ៉ាងកម្រណាស់។ ដូច្នេះ ដោយភ័យខ្លាច ខ្ញុំកំពុងរត់គេច—កុំឲ្យខ្ញុំធ្លាក់ពីសុខសាន្តទៅក្នុងទុក្ខវេទនា។
