भीष्म उवाच ज्येष्ठवत्‌ तात वर्तस्व ज्येष्ठोडसि सततं भवान्‌ । गुरोर्गरीयसी वृत्तिया च शिष्यस्यथ भारत

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | jyeṣṭhavat tāta vartasva jyeṣṭho 'si satataṁ bhavān | guror garīyasī vṛttir yā ca śiṣyasya tathā bhārata ||

Translation

ភីष្មបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «កូនអើយ ចូរប្រព្រឹត្តខ្លួនឲ្យសមនឹងជើងចាស់ ព្រោះអ្នកជាបងធំក្នុងចំណោមបងប្អូនជានិច្ច។ ដូចគ្រូបង្ហាត់មានឥរិយាបថថ្លៃថ្នូរ ធ្ងន់ធ្ងរ និងការពារចំពោះសិស្ស ដូច្នោះដែរ អ្នកគួរប្រព្រឹត្តចំពោះបងប្អូនរបស់អ្នក ឱ ភារត»។
