शतक्रतुरुवाच येषां वेदा निहिता वै गुहायां मनीषिणां सत्यवतां महात्मनाम् | तेषां त्वयैकेन महात्मनास्मि वृद्धस्तस्मात् प्रीतिमांस्तेडहमद्य
śatakratur uvāca yeṣāṃ vedā nihitā vai guhāyāṃ manīṣiṇāṃ satyavatāṃ mahātmanām | teṣāṃ tvayā ekena mahātmanā asmi vṛddhas tasmāt prītimāṃs te ’ham adya ||
សតក្រតុ (ឥន្ទ្រ) បានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «ក្នុងចំណោមមហាត្មាអ្នកប្រាជ្ញ អ្នកនិយាយសច្ចៈ ដែលវេទទាំងឡាយត្រូវបានដាក់ស្ថិតយ៉ាងពិតប្រាកដក្នុងរូងភ្នំដួងចិត្តរបស់ពួកគេ អ្នកគឺជាអ្នកឧត្តមជាងគេ។ ដោយសេចក្តីគិតគូរដើម្បីកុសលរបស់អ្នកតែមួយឯង ឱ មហាត្មា ខ្ញុំបានរុងរឿងឡើង; ដូច្នេះថ្ងៃនេះ ខ្ញុំមានសេចក្តីស្រឡាញ់ពេញចិត្តចំពោះអ្នក។»
