Gautama–Śakra Saṃvāda: Karma, Loka-bheda, and the Restoration of the Elephant
गौतम उवाच वैवस्वती संयमनी जनानां यत्रानृतं नोच्यते यत्र सत्यम् । यत्राबला बलिनं यातयन्ति तत्र त्वाहं हस्तिनं यातयिष्ये
gautama uvāca—vaivasvatī saṃyamanī janānāṃ yatrānṛtaṃ noc्यate yatra satyam | yatrābalā balinaṃ yātayanti tatra tvāhaṃ hastinaṃ yātayiṣye ||
គោតម បានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ មានទីក្រុងមួយឈ្មោះ សំយមនី ជារបស់វៃវស្វត (យមរាជ) អ្នកទប់ស្កាត់មនុស្ស—ទីនោះមិនមានអ្នកនិយាយកុហកឡើយ មានតែសេចក្តីពិតតែប៉ុណ្ណោះ; ហើយសូម្បីតែមនុស្សខ្សោយក៏អាចធ្វើឲ្យអ្នកខ្លាំងទទួលខុសត្រូវចំពោះអំពើអយុត្តិធម៌បាន។ នៅទីនោះ ខ្ញុំនឹងបង្ខំឲ្យអ្នកសងដំរីរបស់ខ្ញុំវិញ។
