नहुषोपाख्यानम्—दीपदान-धूप-बलीकर्म-प्रशंसा
Nahūṣa Episode and the Commendation of Lamp-Gifting and Household Offerings
ततः स परिहीणो<भूत् सुरेन्द्रो बलदर्पत: । धूपदीपोदकविधधि न यथावच्चकार ह
tataḥ sa parihīṇo 'bhūt surendro baladarpataḥ | dhūpadīpodakavidhīṁ na yathāvac cakāra ha ||
ភីෂ្មៈបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «បន្ទាប់មក ព្រះអម្ចាស់នៃទេវតានោះ បានធ្លាក់ចេញពីស្ថានភាពដ៏សមរម្យរបស់ខ្លួន ដោយស្រវឹងក្នុងមោទនភាពនៃអំណាច។ គាត់មិនបានប្រតិបត្តិដូចដែលបានកំណត់ទៀតទេ នូវពិធីបូជាធូប បូជាចង្កៀង និងបូជាទឹក»។ វាបង្ហាញថា មោទនភាពបំផ្លាញវិន័យក្នុងកិច្ចការសក្ការៈ ហើយការធ្វេសប្រហែសសូម្បីតែការបូជាប្រចាំថ្ងៃដ៏សាមញ្ញ ក៏ជាសញ្ញានៃការធ្លាក់ចុះជ្រៅក្នុងធម៌។
