पाण्डोः प्रव्रज्या-व्रतवर्णनम् | Pāṇḍu’s Resolve for Renunciation and Forest Discipline
रक्षितं राजभि: पूर्व धर्मविद्धिर्महात्मभि: । नोत्सादमगमच्चेदं कदाचिदिह न: कुलम्,पहलेके धर्मज्ञ एवं महात्मा राजाओंने इसकी रक्षा की थी; अतः हमारा यह कुल इस भूतलपर कभी उच्छिन्न नहीं हुआ
rakṣitaṃ rājabhiḥ pūrvaṃ dharmavidbhir mahātmabhiḥ | notsādam agamac cedaṃ kadācid iha naḥ kulam ||
ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចាថា៖ «កាលពីមុន វង្សនេះត្រូវបានការពារដោយព្រះមហាក្សត្រដ៏មហានុភាព ដែលដឹងធម្មៈ។ ដូច្នេះ នៅលើផែនដីនេះ វង្សយើងមិនដែលដួលរលំ ឬត្រូវកាត់ផ្តាច់ឡើយ»។
