Suta Goswami (reciting the Shiva-Sahasranama within the Linga Purana narration)
It praises Shiva’s anugraha (grace) as the Pati: through Linga-bhakti He purifies the devotee’s kula (kula-śuddhi) and grants worldly supports like wealth and progeny, making worship both spiritually and socially sustaining.
Shiva is shown as transcendent yet accessible: dwelling in sacred, secluded abodes (Kailāsa, guhā) while actively governing karma—removing stains that bind the paśu (soul) and establishing dharmic order in the devotee’s life.
The verse supports Linga-pūjā aimed at kula-śānti and santāna: worship with Śiva-nāma-japa (Sahasranāma recitation) and vrata/abhisheka for purification and grace-bestowal.
