Nārāyaṇa-kavaca — The Armor of Lord Nārāyaṇa
yathā hi bhagavān eva vastutaḥ sad asac ca yat satyenānena naḥ sarve yāntu nāśam upadravāḥ
This verse states that Bhagavan alone is the ultimate reality and that He encompasses both the manifest (sat) and the unmanifest or seemingly non-existent (asat), indicating His all-pervading supremacy beyond dualities.
While reciting the Narayana-kavaca for divine protection, Indra invokes a ‘satyavacana’—a truth-statement—affirming the Lord’s absolute nature and requesting that, by that truth, all dangers and obstacles be neutralized.
Remembering that the Supreme Lord governs both seen and unseen circumstances helps a devotee face uncertainty with faith; one can pray with sincerity for protection and steadiness, especially during crises and anxiety.
