श्रीराजोवाच देवासुरनृणां सर्गो नागानां मृगपक्षिणाम् । सामासिकस्त्वया प्रोक्तो यस्तु स्वायम्भुवेऽन्तरे ॥ १ ॥ तस्यैव व्यासमिच्छामि ज्ञातुं ते भगवन् यथा । अनुसर्गं यया शक्त्या ससर्ज भगवान् पर: ॥ २ ॥
śrī-rājovāca devāsura-nṛṇāṁ sargo nāgānāṁ mṛga-pakṣiṇām sāmāsikas tvayā prokto yas tu svāyambhuve ’ntare
ព្រះរាជាមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ ក្នុងសម័យស្វាយម្ភូវមនុ មានការបង្កើតទេវតា អសុរ មនុស្ស នាគ សត្វ និងបក្សី ដែលលោកបានពោលដោយសង្ខេបរួចហើយ។ ឥឡូវនេះ សូមព្រះអង្គម្ចាស់អនុគ្រោះ ខ្ញុំចង់ដឹងដោយលម្អិត; ហើយចង់ដឹងថា ព្រះភគវានដ៏លើសលប់ បានបង្កើតអនុសೃષ્ટិ (ការបង្កើតទីពីរ) ដោយអំណាចណា។
