Balarāma Visits Vraja: Consoling the Gopīs and Dragging the Yamunā
अद्यापि दृश्यते राजन् यमुनाकृष्टवर्त्मना । बलस्यानन्तवीर्यस्य वीर्यं सूचयतीव हि ॥ ३३ ॥
adyāpi dṛśyate rājan yamunākṛṣṭa-vartmanā balasyānanta-vīryasya vīryaṁ sūcayatīva hi
ឱ ព្រះមហាក្សត្រ សូម្បីតែសព្វថ្ងៃនេះ ក៏នៅតែឃើញទន្លេយមុនា ហូរតាមផ្លូវសាខាច្រើន ដែលកើតឡើងពេលព្រះបលរាមមានពលានន្ត បានទាញវា ដូចជាទន្លេយមុនាកំពុងបង្ហាញព្រះបារមីរបស់ព្រះองค์។
It says the Yamunā’s course—drawn toward him—can still be seen, as a lasting sign of Balarāma’s limitless prowess.
While narrating Balarāma’s Vraja pastimes, Śukadeva highlights a visible, enduring landmark to emphasize the historical and sacred nature of the Lord’s līlā and Balarāma’s divine strength.
It encourages faith that the Lord’s presence leaves transformative impact; devotees can remember and honor tīrthas and cultivate humility before divine power rather than relying on ego-driven strength.
