Transliteration

mṛkaṃḍopi sutaṃ jñātvā tataḥ kṣīṇāyuṣaṃ nṛpa | paṃcavārṣikamapyārttaścakāropanayānvitam

Translation

王よ、ムリカンダもまた、その時わが子の寿命が短いと悟り、憂いを抱きつつ、まだ五歳の童子にさえ入門の儀（ウパナヤナ）を執り行った。
