Pulastya
Tirtha: Arbuda-kṣetra (Śiva’s nitya-vāsa)
Type: peak
Listener: Yayāti
Scene: Pulastya narrates the moment when the gods propitiate Śiva (bull-bannered) and request his eternal abode on Arbuda; Śiva appears serene, with Nandin emblem and mountain backdrop.
Divine presence is established where devotion and sincere propitiation are offered; the gods themselves seek Śiva’s abiding grace for the welfare of the world.
Arbuda (Mount Arbuda/Abu region) is praised as a place where Śiva is requested to abide perpetually.
No explicit rite is prescribed here; the verse emphasizes propitiation (prasādana) and the prayer for the Lord’s permanent abiding at the sacred site.
