Tirtha: Arbuda
Type: peak
Listener: Nāgas
Scene: On the cool heights of Arbuda, Nāgas perform austerities in stillness; above or within a shrine-like aura appears Caṇḍikā—radiant, many-armed, compassionate yet fierce, her form subtly shifting to signify kāmarūpatva.
A sacred place becomes transformative when paired with tapas and steady concentration directed to the living presence of the Devī.
Arbuda is praised as the abode where Devī Caṇḍikā is specially present.
Tapas with samādhāna (focused composure) as a mode of Devī-upāsanā.
