देव्युवाच । यदि देवाः प्रसन्ना मे यदि देयो वरो मम । आश्रमोऽत्रैव मे पुण्यो जायतां ख्यातिसंयुतः
devyuvāca | yadi devāḥ prasannā me yadi deyo varo mama | āśramo'traiva me puṇyo jāyatāṃ khyātisaṃyutaḥ
女神は仰せになった。「もし諸天がわたしを嘉し、もしわたしに願い（ヴァラ）を授け給うなら、この地にこそ、名声を具えたわたしの聖なるアーシュラマが生じますように。」
