श्रीवासुदेव उवाच । एष एव वरः श्लाघ्यो यत्त्वं तुष्टो महेश्वरः । न चापुण्यवतां देव त्वं तुष्टिमधिगच्छसि । अवश्यं यदि मे देयो वरो देवेश्वर त्वया
śrīvāsudeva uvāca | eṣa eva varaḥ ślāghyo yattvaṃ tuṣṭo maheśvaraḥ | na cāpuṇyavatāṃ deva tvaṃ tuṣṭimadhigacchasi | avaśyaṃ yadi me deyo varo deveśvara tvayā
聖なるヴァースデーヴァは言った。「称賛すべき恩寵はただこれのみ――大自在天マヘーシュヴァラよ、あなたが満足しておられること。神よ、功徳なき者にあなたは喜ばれない。されど、もし必ずや私に恩寵を授けねばならぬのなら、 देवेश्वर（諸天の主）よ……」
