pulastya uvāca | śuklapakṣe śubhe vāre nakṣatre doṣavarjite | śreṣṭhacaṃdrabale śāṃtiṃ gaṇeśasya samācaret
Pulastya
Tirtha: Gaṇeśa-Śānti (Mahāvināyakī)
Listener: Yayāti
Scene: Sage Pulastya instructs with a pañcāṅga/astral chart; the bright Moon is shown strong in the sky; symbols of śukla-pakṣa, nakṣatra wheel, and Gaṇeśa altar indicate the planned śānti.
Puranic dharma emphasizes not only devotion but also proper timing (muhūrta) for śānti rites to bear full fruit.
The rite is taught within the Arbuda Khaṇḍa’s Vināyaka framework, implying performance in connection with that sacred setting or its tradition.
Perform Gaṇeśa-śānti in śukla-pakṣa, on an auspicious weekday, under a doṣa-free nakṣatra, with strong Moon.
