जनन्या विप्रयुक्तस्य जीवितं न हि मे प्रियम् । नास्ति मातृसमः कश्चिद्बालानां क्षीरजीविनाम्
Transliteration
jananyā viprayuktasya jīvitaṃ na hi me priyam | nāsti mātṛsamaḥ kaścidbālānāṃ kṣīrajīvinām
Translation
母と離れて生きる命は、わたしには愛おしくありません。乳により生きる幼子にとって、母に勝る者は誰もいないのです。
