नाद्यापि स तृणा न्यत्ति तेनाहं शोकविक्लवा । रोद्मि व्याघ्र सुतस्नेहात्सत्येनात्मानमालभे
nādyāpi sa tṛṇā nyatti tenāhaṃ śokaviklavā | rodmi vyāghra sutasnehātsatyenātmānamālabhe
「今なおあの子は草を食べません。それゆえ私は悲嘆にくれております。おお虎よ、子牛への愛ゆえに私は泣くのです。真実にかけて、我が身を誓い（必ず戻ると）申し上げます。」
