सौदास उवाच । यैर्विना सुगतिर्नास्ति दुर्गतिं ये नयंति वै । गत्वैवं ब्रूहि तां साध्वीं मम वाक्यं द्विजोत्तम । प्रदास्यति ततो नूनं कुण्डले रत्नमंडिते
saudāsa uvāca | yairvinā sugatirnāsti durgatiṃ ye nayaṃti vai | gatvaivaṃ brūhi tāṃ sādhvīṃ mama vākyaṃ dvijottama | pradāsyati tato nūnaṃ kuṇḍale ratnamaṃḍite
サウダーサは言った。「それなくしてはスガティ（善き趣）なく、またまことにドゥルガティ（悪しき趣）へと導くものがある。婆羅門の最上よ、行ってその貞淑なる婦人に我が言葉を告げよ。そうすれば、宝玉をちりばめた耳飾りを必ず授けよう。」
