| sūta uvāca | tatraiva sthāpitaṃ liṃgaṃ dhṛtarāṣṭreṇa bhūbhujā | duryodhanena cālokya sarvapāpaiḥ pramucyate
スータは言った。「まさにその地に、王ドリタラーシュトラがリンガを安置した。ドゥルヨーダナがそうしたように、それを拝観する者は一切の罪より解き放たれる。」
Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa/Sauti)
Type: temple
Scene: Inside a shrine, a dark stone liṅga stands adorned with bilva leaves and water offerings; a royal figure (Dhṛtarāṣṭra) is shown installing it, while another royal onlooker (Duryodhana) receives purification through mere darśana.
Darśana (reverent beholding) of a consecrated liṅga at a tīrtha is celebrated as a purifier that destroys accumulated sin.
The liṅga-site within the same kṣetra (Skandapura/Camatkārapura region) where Dhṛtarāṣṭra installed a Śiva-liṅga.
Behold (darśana) the installed Śiva-liṅga; the verse highlights its sin-destroying merit.
