Pārthiva-pratimā Pūjā-vidhāna — Procedure for Worship of an Earthen Icon
प्रकृतेर्व्यक्ततां यातं द्वितीयं जन्म कथ्यते । जन्म जंतुर्मृत्युजन्म पुरुषात्प्रतिपद्यते
prakṛtervyaktatāṃ yātaṃ dvitīyaṃ janma kathyate | janma jaṃturmṛtyujanma puruṣātpratipadyate

Cosmic Event: Saṃsāric cycle (mṛtyu-janma) as a recurring cosmic condition for the bound soul (paśu) under concealment (tirodhāna) until grace intervenes.
It distinguishes the soul’s essential nature from its manifested embodied condition, teaching that bondage appears when consciousness becomes involved with Prakṛti, resulting in repeated birth and death until liberation through the Lord’s grace and right knowledge.
By identifying Puruṣa as the inner Lord behind embodied experience, it supports Saguna Shiva worship (such as Linga worship) as a concrete means to turn the jīva away from Prakṛti-bound identity and toward Pati (Shiva), the liberator.
Contemplate the distinction between Prakṛti and the indwelling Lord while repeating the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and maintaining Tripuṇḍra and Rudrākṣa as reminders of Shiva-centered identity over Prakṛti-born embodiment.
