聖仙は彼を喜び、トリシャンクに一つの恩寵(ヴァラ)を授けた。ついで恩寵を選べと促されると、王子は自ら望むその恩寵を願い求めた。

Tattva Level: pati
Role: liberating
The verse highlights how grace (anugraha) becomes available when a seeker gains the goodwill of a realized sage; yet the fruit depends on the seeker’s chosen intention, showing the Shaiva emphasis on inner motive shaping karmic outcomes.
Though the verse narrates a boon, it reflects a core Shaiva theme: divine and guru-mediated grace operates within dharma—devotion to Saguna Shiva (often through Linga worship) purifies desire so that what one asks aligns with liberation rather than mere worldly attainment.
The practical takeaway is disciplined intention before prayer: approach Shiva with reverence, recite the Panchakshara ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") and then seek a boon that supports dharma and liberation rather than ego-driven desire.
