Description of Śiva Meditation and Worship

iti śrīśivamahāpurāṇe ṣaṣṭhyāṃ kailāśasaṃhitāyāṃ śivadhyānapūjanavarṇanaṃ nāma saptamo'dhyāyaḥ
かくして『シュリー・シヴァ・マハープラーナ』第六巻「カイラーサ・サンヒター」において、「シヴァへの禅観とその礼拝の叙述」と題する第七章はここに終わる。
Suta Goswami (traditional Purāṇic narrator concluding the chapter)
This is the chapter-colophon that seals the teaching: the path of Śiva-dhyāna (meditation) and Śiva-pūjā (worship) is presented as a complete, authoritative means for approaching Pati (Lord Shiva) and moving toward liberation.
By naming the chapter as “meditation and worship of Shiva,” it frames the practice-oriented approach typical of Saguna upāsanā—often expressed through Liṅga-pūjā and devotional contemplation—leading the devotee toward deeper realization.
The verse itself is a concluding title, pointing to the chapter’s focus: Śiva-dhyāna alongside Śiva-pūjā—commonly supported in the Purāṇa by mantra-japa (notably the Pañcākṣarī), offerings, and disciplined devotional practice.
