It frames “preservation” (sthiti) as an ordered cosmic function expressed through recognized divine powers, while implicitly affirming the Śaiva view that all functions ultimately rest under Śiva, the Supreme Lord (Pati) who transcends the cycles.
By pointing to cosmic governance and order, it supports Saguna worship—devotion to Śiva as the accessible Lord who upholds and regulates all powers; the Liṅga symbolizes that one supreme reality behind diverse sustaining manifestations.
Contemplate Śiva as the inner ruler of all cosmic functions while repeating the Pañcākṣarī mantra (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), aligning the mind with steadiness (sthiti) and seeking liberation beyond the cycle.
