Suta Goswami (narrating the prescribed Shaiva ritual procedure to the sages)
Tattva Level: pasha
It teaches that worship becomes spiritually effective when done as a complete discipline—invoking the appropriate divine powers and performing the rite with all its prescribed aṅgas—so the practitioner’s karma is purified and oriented toward Shiva’s grace.
Though the verse speaks generally of ritual procedure, it supports Saguna Shiva worship by emphasizing orderly, complete performance—invocation, offerings (including fire rites), and auxiliaries—through which the devotee approaches Shiva in a consecrated, rule-guided way.
Perform the worship sāṅga—i.e., with complete components such as proper sankalpa, mantra-recitation (including Panchakshara where applicable), offerings, and homa beginning with Agni—rather than incomplete or casual ritual.
