スータ(Sūta)が来たるのを見て、聖仙たちは心喜び、慣例の敬礼をもってことごとく供養した。すなわち立って迎え、座を捧げ、アルギャ(arghya・敬水)を献じ、その他の礼拝を尽くした。

It teaches that receptivity to Śiva-kathā begins with humility and reverence—honoring the bearer of sacred knowledge purifies the mind and makes it fit to receive teachings on Pati (Śiva) and liberation.
The same upacāras (courtesies) shown to Sūta mirror the devotional protocol used in Saguna worship—offering āsana and arghya trains the devotee in respectful, embodied bhakti that later culminates in pūjā to the Śiva-liṅga.
Practice “pūrvāṅga” devotion before study or japa: mentally rise in respect, offer a seat and arghya to the guru/ācārya or to Śiva in the heart, then begin mantra-japa (such as the Pañcākṣarī) with a steady, purified attitude.
