अग्निं वर्धन्तु नो गिरो यतो जायत उक्थ्यः । महे वाजाय द्रविणाय दर्शतः ॥

agníṃ vardhantu no gíro yáto jā́yata ukthyáḥ | mahé vā́jāya dráviṇāya darśatáḥ ||

われらの讃歌のことばはアグニ(Agni)を増し育てよ。彼より、勝利をもたらす讃歌の力(ukthya)が生まれる。大いなる勝勢・活力(vāja)のため、また充ち満ちる資財・存在の豊かさ(draviṇa)のために、彼がわれらに顕現せよ――内なる見に澄みわたりて。
