Sarga 93: Rāvaṇa’s Grief and Fury after Indrajit’s Fall; Move to Slay Vaidehī and Ministerial Restraint
एषपन्थाःसुयोधानांसर्वामरगणेष्वपि ।।।।यःकृतेहन्यतेभर्तुस्सपुमान्स्वर्गमृच्छति ।
eṣa panthāḥ suyodhānāṃ sarvāmaragaṇeṣv api |
yaḥ kṛte hanyate bhartus sa pumān svargam ṛcchati || 6.93.9 ||
これぞ善き戦士の道、たとえ不死の群れの中にあっても同じ。主君のために討たれた者は天界に至る。
'Killed in war for the cause of the king and treading the path of noble warriors, one attains the heaven. Even for a human it is desirable'.
