勇者が勇者と戦場で相まみえ、汝の勇ましき子――戦において未だ敗れぬマヘーンドラジットは、ラクシュマナに討たれた。矢でラクシュマナを深く傷つけたのち、彼は最上の世界へと赴いた。
'Let that supreme bow and the great arrows bestowed to me, by Brahma the creator who was pleased, when I fought in battle between Devas and Asuras, be brought to destroy Rama and Lakshmana today accompanied by hundreds of trumpets.'
Satya (truth) in reporting—even when painful—is necessary for right action; the war narrative underscores that reality must be faced, not denied through pride.
A report is delivered to Rāvaṇa that Indrajit (Mahendrajit) has been killed by Lakṣmaṇa after a fierce exchange.
Valor is acknowledged on both sides (hero meeting hero), while the messenger’s role implicitly emphasizes truthful communication under pressure.
