Indrajit–Lakshmana Battle and the Rallying of the Vanaras
ततोमहेन्द्रप्रतिमः स लक्ष्मणःपदातिनंतंनिहतैर्हयोत्तमैः ।सृजन्तमाजौनिशितान्शरोत्तमान् भृशंतदाबाणगणैर्न्यवारयत् ।।।।
tato mahendra-pratimaḥ sa lakṣmaṇaḥ padātinaṃ taṃ nihatāir hayottamaiḥ | sṛjantaṃ ājau niśitān śarottamān bhṛśaṃ tadā bāṇa-gaṇair nyavārayat ||6.90.54||
そのときラクシュマナは、偉大なるマヘーンドラにも比すべき威容をもって、矢の群れを激しく放ち、彼を力強く押しとどめた。最上の馬を討たれて徒歩となったその戦士は、それでも戦場で鋭く優れた矢を次々と放ち続けていた。
