त्र्यशीतितमः सर्गः (Sarga 83)
Hanumān Reports Sītā’s ‘Slaying’; Rāma Collapses; Lakṣmaṇa’s Counter-Discourse on Dharma and Artha
येषांनश्यत्ययंलोकश्चरतांधर्मचारिणाम् ।तेऽर्थास्त्वयि न दृश्यन्तेदुर्दिनेषुयथाग्रहाः ।।6.83.40।।
yeṣāṃ naśyaty ayaṃ lokaś caratāṃ dharmacāriṇām |
te 'rthās tvayi na dṛśyante durdineṣu yathā grahāḥ ||6.83.40||
厳しくダルマに従って歩む者でさえ、この世での立場を失うことがある。そのような「富」は汝には見えぬ――曇れる日に惑星が隠れるがごとく。
"Even if there is wealth if one renunciates wealth and follows dharma in this world they perish like planets on cloudy days."
