लङ्कादाह-प्रचोदनं तथा वानर-राक्षस-समरारम्भः
The Burning of Lanka and the Outbreak of Battle
अशोभततदारामोधनुर्विष्फारयन् महत् ।भगवानिवसङ्कृद्धोभवोवेदमयंधनुः ।।।।
aśobhata tadā rāmo dhanur viṣphārayan mahat |
bhagavān iva saṅkruddho bhavo vedamayaṃ dhanuḥ ||
その時、ラーマは大いなる弓を引き絞り、燦然と輝いた。まるで憤怒のうちに、ヴェーダの権威を宿す弓を引く福徳の神バヴァ(シヴァ)のごとくであった。
Then, great Rama stretching his bow in great fury shone as though the divine Lord Siva was stretching his bow with imprints of Vedas.
Even fierce action can be dharmic when grounded in sacred order (Veda) and directed against adharma; wrath here is portrayed as principled, not reckless.
Rāma’s battle-readiness is heightened; the poet frames his martial stance with a sacred comparison to Śiva.
Tejas with restraint: luminous authority that can become formidable without departing from righteous purpose.
