Indrajit’s Brahmastra Rite and the Crushing of the Vanara Host
तद्रुमाणांशिलानां च वर्षंप्राणहरंमहत् ।व्यपोहतमहातेजारावणिस्समितिंजयः ।।।।
tad drumāṇāṁ śilānāṁ ca varṣaṁ prāṇaharaṁ mahat |
vyapohata mahātejā rāvaṇiḥ samitiṁjayaḥ ||
すると大いなる威光をもつラーヴァニ(戦陣の勝者)は、命を奪うほどの巨大な樹と岩の雨を打ち払い退けた。
Energetic Indrajith, who is ever victorious in battle dispersed the deadly rain of rocks and trees capable of taking out life.
The verse highlights the battlefield consequence of adharma-driven power: prowess can repel attacks, but it is morally neutral unless aligned with righteous purpose.
Indrajit counters a deadly shower of uprooted trees and rocks hurled in the battle.
Martial effectiveness and tactical control (śaurya/kaushala), though employed on the side opposing Rāma.
