戦場において彼らは、鋭く疾い勢いを帯び、さまざまに飾られた無数の矢でヴァーナラたちを射、また槍や鉤棒でも打ちかかった。
They began to strike Vanaras, with many wonderfully decorated, sharp and swift arrows, lances, and tridents.
The verse depicts the harsh reality of war; dharmic reflection arises around the limits of violence and the responsibility borne by combatants—force must be tied to just cause and rules of engagement.
The rākṣasa troops begin actively assaulting the vānaras with multiple weapon types.
Battle-skill and aggressiveness (a kṣātra trait), presented neutrally as action-reporting.
