Counsel of the Rakshasa Court to Ravana

śūrāś ca balavantaś ca varuṇasya sutā raṇe | nirjitās te mahābhāga caturvidha-balānugāḥ ||
幸いある王よ、戦いにおいてあなたは、四種の軍勢に随伴された、勇猛にして強大なるヴァルナ(Varuṇa)の子らを打ち破った。
"O blessed king! Mighty strong sons of Varuna, heroes capable of war and of all the four kinds of army have been won by you."
The verse highlights worldly victory and royal prowess; dharma reflection arises by implication: mere conquest—even over divine-affiliated foes—does not equal righteousness in the Ramayana’s moral framework.
A speaker in Laṅkā praises Rāvaṇa’s past martial triumphs to bolster confidence during the ongoing war.
Royal valor and military supremacy (kṣatra-tejas) are foregrounded.
