Trisira’s Counsel and the Slaying of Naranthaka
तेपादपशिलाश्शैलैश्चक्रुर्वृष्टिमनूपमाम् ।बाणौघैर्वार्यमाणाश्चहरयोभीमविक्रमाः ।।।।
te pādapa-śilāḥ śailaiś cakrur vṛṣṭim anūpamām |
bāṇaughair vāryamāṇāś ca harayo bhīma-vikramāḥ ||
恐るべき武勇をもつ猿たちは、矢の奔流に阻まれながらも、樹木と岩と山の断崖を、比類なき「雨」として降らせた。
The Vanaras of dreadful valour and unparalleled might waged with trees, rock and mountain when obstructed by the Rakshasas।।
Dharma is perseverance in rightful duty: even under heavy attack, the Vanaras do not abandon the cause and continue their resistance.
Rākṣasas shower arrows; the Vanaras respond by hurling massive natural weapons in overwhelming volleys.
Dhṛti (steadfastness) and parākrama (heroic exertion) under pressure.
