स वारिधाराइवसायकास्तान् पिबन् शरीरेणमहेन्द्रशत्रुः ।जघानरामस्यशरप्रवेगंव्याविध्यतंमुग्रवेगम् ।।।।

Transliteration

sa vāridhārā iva sāyakās tān piban śarīreṇa mahendraśatruḥ | jaghāna rāmasya śarapravēgaṃ vyāvidhya taṃ mudgaravegam ||

Translation

豪雨の奔流のように、彼はそれらの矢を身に受けて「飲み込み」た。ついでマヘーンドラの敵は棍棒を振り回し、その槌の疾風の勢いで、ラーマの矢の奔流の威力を抑えんと打ちかかった。
