तस्यच्छिद्राणिमार्गस्वस्वच्छिद्राणिचलक्ष्य ।चक्षुषाधनुषायत्ना प्रक्षात्मानंसमाहितः ।।6.59.50।।
tasyacchidrāṇi mārgasva svacchidrāṇi ca lakṣya | cakṣuṣā dhanuṣā yatnāḥ prakṣātmānaṃ samāhitaḥ ||6.59.50||
油断なくあれ:彼の隙を探り、また己の隙も見極めよ。眼を据え、弓を執り、彼の矢の行方を見定めて己の矢を合わせ、心を整えて身を守れ。
"Remaining alert, apply your arrows in the direction of his arrows. Looking at his arrows carefully, making an effort to protect yourself, set your bow."
Dharma here is disciplined alertness—self-control and careful action even amid violence, avoiding recklessness and protecting life through mindful effort.
Rama instructs Lakshmana on battlefield conduct: observe the enemy’s attacks, respond with precision, and remain composed for self-protection.
